A Groveland teen who was arrested last week for driving with a suspended learner’s license was charged again after being stopped at a Walgreens in The Villages.

A gray Honda Accord with dark tinted windows passed by an officer on Powell Road at 10:35 a.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. Since he could not see inside the vehicle, he ran a check of the tag and learned the registered owner, 19-year-old Timothy Codell Felder, had a suspended learner’s license.

The officer stopped the vehicle in the Walgreens parking lot at Pinellas Plaza. He asked Felder if he knew his license was suspended, the report said.

Felder explained he was arrested on Wednesday by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office for driving with a suspended license. He had a copy of his arrest report and citation, adding that he was out on bond, the report said.

Indeed, a check of his driving history showed his learner’s license had been suspended for an unpaid traffic fine. He also had a prior conviction for driving with a suspended license on March 18 out of Lake County, the report said.

Felder was arrested on charge of driving while license suspended (second or subsequent offense). He was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center to be held without bond.
