A woman with a suspended license was arrested after being stopped for speeding on State Road 44.
A deputy spotted 42-year-old Kimberly Ann Ramirez of Hernando speeding in a gray Chrysler Pacifica van on State Road 44 at 1:40 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Radar confirmed she was going 74 miles per hour in a 60-mph zone.

Seeing this, the deputy stopped her near the intersection with North County Road 475. She stated her license was suspended, and a check of her driving history showed it had been suspended since March 19, 2019, the report said.
Ramirez was arrested on charge of driving while license suspended. She was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center with bond set at $500.
