Jossie Yunque Lopez

Jossie was born in Isabela, Puerto Rico to Paula López and Gorgonio Yunqué. She graduated high school from Colegio San Antonio in Isabela, Puerto Rico, and went on to earn her law degree from the University of Puerto Rico (UPR). She worked as an attorney and district attorney for many years, serving her community with dedication, integrity, and compassion.

She lived a beautiful and fulfilling life in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, where she raised her family and built lifelong friendships. In January 2023, she moved to Florida, where she found joy and companionship among her dear friends and neighbors in the Pebble Springs Retirement Community, who quickly became an extension of her family.

Jossie enjoyed praying the Rosary—especially to the Virgin of Lourdes—and held deep devotion to La Virgen de la Providencia. Her strong Catholic faith guided her throughout her life.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Eddie Ramírez; her children Joselyn Ramírez (Pierre Ortiz), Frances Ramírez (James Farmer), Eduardo Ramírez (Gabriela Perez), and Daniel Ramírez; and her cherished grandchildren Karla Ortiz, Francisco Dávila, Ada Ortiz, Paula Dávila, Eduardo Gabriel Ramírez, and Sophia Ramírez.

Funeral services will be held as follows Mass at San Juan Evangelista Catholic Church, Torrimar/Guaynabo, Puerto Rico – Monday, December 29 at 6:00 p.m.
• Mass at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church, Isabela, Puerto Rico – Tuesday, December 30 at 9:00 a.m., followed by burial

Burial will take place at the Cementerio Municipal de Isabela in Isabela, Puerto Rico on
December 30 at 10:00 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation (www.arthritis.org) or any organization dedicated to Rheumatoid Arthritis research and support. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all who have offered prayers, love, and support during this time.

She is now in the loving presence of the Lord, resting in His eternal peace
