Lowell Bradford Wells, 56, died Saturday, December 13, 2025, at his home in Lake Panasoffkee with his family by his side.
Lowell was born April 22, 1969, in Brooksville, Fla, to Lowell Wells Sr and Sonja “Powell” Wells. Lowell was a lifelong resident of Sumter County, Fla., a 1987 graduate of South Sumter.
Lowell is preceded in death by his parents and followed closely by his oldest brother, Timmy Wells, of Tarrytown, Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Varn Wells (18 years of marriage), and children: Travis (Taylor) Wells, Ryan (Krista) Ball, Ronnie (Marilyn) Comstock, and Delanie Wells. His three grandchildren: Jayden and Knox Ball, and Huxley Bradford Fogle. Lowell’s siblings: Ken Wells, Keith (Kim) Wells, and Tammy (John) Wells. Including many family members that he loved dearly.
Lowell worked for Hewitts Construction of Leesburg for many years and formed many lifelong friendships that led him to Gibbs and Register (present job). Lowell was a hard worker who loved to make his job a priority and make those he worked with proud. Lowell was known for being “just a phone call away.” It didn’t matter the time of day or where, he’d be there! He truly always gave from his heart to others. He enjoyed tinkering on things with his family and friends, trail riding in the woods, dancing, and spending time with his family.
Lowell sincerely loved his wife Carrie and the family they had together. He was a wonderful Husband, Father, Peepaw, and Friend.
He was our world and will always be just that; he will be missed dearly by all who knew him. We will continue to carry on his name and the love that he always gave.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Lowell, Saturday, January 10th of 2026, 4 pm to 8 pm at the Rustic Barn Weddings and Events, located at 2616 Cr 673, Bushnell, FL, 33513.
