An inspector found two high-priority violations during a recent visit to Koyame Asian Express restaurant in The Villages.
The inspector paid a visit on Dec. 19 to the restaurant at 1558 Bella Cruz Drive at Spanish Plaines Shopping Center.
The inspector spotted an employee placing a lemon wedge on a drink cup with no gloves or utensil, according to a report on file with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. It was the first of two high-priority violations.
The second violation involved raw chicken and raw shell eggs stored over soy sauce buckets in a walk-in cooler. The report noted this was a repeat violation.
The report noted that the inspector also found two more lesser violations.
