Troy Edward Feustel, age 65, passed away peacefully on Christmas night, December 25, 2025, at 6:12 p.m., surrounded by his loving family at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.
Born on July 25, 1960, Troy was the son of Raymond Feustel and June Feustel. He built a life rooted in hard work, dedication, and love for his family. Over the years, Troy wore many hats—beginning his career as a lineman with Kline Electric, later working as a plumber with Butch Tinney Plumbing, and contributing his skills to drywall work for Disney. Ultimately, he found his lifelong career with the United States Postal Service, where he proudly worked and retired after 31 years of dedicated service.
Above all else, Troy was a devoted family man. He was a loving husband, an incredible father, a proud grandfather, a caring brother, and a loyal friend. His warm smile—one that could light up any room—is something many will forever remember. Troy had a deep love for golf and could often be found on the course wearing shorts no matter how cool the Florida weather became. He was also an avid reader who loved to read and did not put a book down easily.
Troy lived in Oxford, Florida, with his beloved wife, Lynda Feustel. He is survived by Lynda; his sons, Hunter Feustel and Garrett Feustel; and his cherished grandchildren: Carson (13), Hendrix (11), Helina (9), Halen (8), Braxton (6), Greyson (4), Gabriel (15), and Sofia (11). He is also survived by his siblings Bruce, Greg, Clay, and Lori, along with many extended family members and friends who were blessed to know him.
A Celebration of Life honoring Troy Edward Feustel will be held on January 9, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Heritage Community Church in Fruitland Park, Florida.
Troy’s life was defined by love, laughter, service, and faithfulness—to his work, his family, and the people around him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
