Kate Schippmann Timm, 87, of Lady Lake, Florida, passed away Wednesday, January 21st, 2026, in her home with her children by her side.
Kate was born in Kuhs, Germany on January 28th, 1938, to Hans and Edit Schippmann. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Ernie.
Kate fled East Germany with her family and arrived in the United States in 1954. Here she quickly assimilated to her new country and met the love of her life, Ernst Timm. The two of them both lived their lives to the fullest, raised a family, were successful in business, and traveled the world.
Kate and Ernie moved to the Villages in the early nineties were they fully enjoyed the lifestyle offered there.
She is survived by her son, Peter (Susan), her daughter, Lorie (Jeffrey), her grandchildren, Alexandra and Jacob. And by her sisters Ilse Reichert, Friedel Saager, Karin Saager, Christel Petitti, Inge Schippmann and numerous nieces and nephews.
Interment service will be at the New Hope Lutheran Church on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 10:30 am.
