Dennis Lee Hilgenfeld of The Villages, Florida, passed away on January 24, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on February 28, 1945, in Holton, Kansas, Dennis dedicated his life to his family, profession, and community.
Dennis was married to Janet Hilgenfeld, for over 50 years. They celebrated their union on May 24, 1975, and built a loving family together. He is survived by his devoted wife, Janet; two sons, Brad (Tricia) and Adam (Audrey) Hilgenfeld; and two daughters, Jennifer Weiss and Laura Brown. His granddaughter Lily Parker Hilgenfeld and brother Larry (Vada) Hilgenfeld. He cherished each moment spent with them, instilling in them the values of hard work, integrity, and kindness.
A proud alumnus of Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas, Dennis earned a degree in Civil Engineering. His professional achievements reflected his commitment to excellence and innovation in his field. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever live in the hearts of those who loved him.
