U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed a hold on an unlicensed driver from Mexico caught speeding near the Village of Well Point.
A white SUV sped by an officer at 46 miles per hour in a 30-mph zone of Corbin Trail at 11:40 a.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. After stopping the vehicle near the Village of Well Point, the officer asked the driver, 39-year-old Eriberto Valentin Jimenez, for his license.

Valentin Jimenez instead handed over a Mexican passport, which was used to learn he had only a Florida ID card issued due to a previous offense in 2024. He had been convicted of driving without a license in Marion County, the report said.
The native of Mexico was arrested on charge of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license (second conviction). He was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center where ICE placed a hold on his custody.
