A Lady Lake woman was arrested for battery after allegedly punching her ex-boyfriend in the face during an argument.

A deputy met with the ex-boyfriend of 41-year-old Kathleen Nicole Roberts at 7-Eleven, located at 2058 U.S. Hwy. 27/441, Fruitland Park, around 5:15 a.m. Wednesday. Feb. 11, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. He advised that she punched him in the face and slapped him multiple times over a dispute the two of them had the night prior.

The ex-boyfriend sustained swelling under his right eye where he described being punched twice. He had audio recordings of the dispute, as well, during which he had been hit, the report said.

The deputy proceeded to Roberts’ home on Griffin View Drive at Griffin View Estates. She stated that she and the ex-boyfriend had been in an argument the night before, and she wanted him out of the house. She added that their relationship never ended, but he had no personal belongings at her place, the report said.

Roberts was subsequently arrested on charge of simple battery (domestic). She was transported to Lake County Jail and released after posting $1,000 bond.
