A Villager will face fines if she refuses to trim the hedges at her residence.

The home at 8541 SE 177th Bartram Loop in the Village of Piedmont was the subject of a public hearing Monday at the District Office at Brownwood.

A complaint about the home was received Jan. 9 by Community Standards. An inspection confirmed that the hedges had grown behind the limit of 4 feet, according to testimony presented at the hearing. There was also a complaint about a dirty driveway. Notices were sent to the homeowner, Jean Krupinski, and the driveway was powerwashed, but the hedges remained untrimmed.

Community Standards made multiple attempts to contact Krupinski but “each call was disconnected.” Community Standards finally made contact with Krupinski in person on Jan. 28, however, she was “not receptive to discussion.”

The special master at the hearing granted Krupinski seven days to get the hedges trimmed. If she fails to do so, fines will be imposed.
