A Wildwood woman was arrested a few days after she was stopped with a marijuana grinder while leaving a 7-Eleven parking lot.
A deputy saw a grey Dodge Dakota run a stop sign on the way out of the 7-Eleven near the Village of Fenney at 4:50 p.m., March 17, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Due to this, he stopped the driver, 53-year-old Annisa Riggs Walker, at the intersection of County Road 521 and Northeast 31st Terrace in Wildwood.

While writing a warning for her, a K-9 responded to the scene to check for narcotics. A positive alert meant her vehicle had to be searched, and the deputy discovered a multi-colored metal marijuana grinder inside the driver’s door pocket. It contained trace amounts of what tested positive for illegal amounts of THC, the report said.
Walker was ultimately released from the scene pending further investigation. However, another deputy recognized her as she rode by in the passenger seat of a gold 2014 GMC Terrain on Friday afternoon. He then stopped the vehicle at the intersection of County Road 513 and Northeast 37th Trail in Wildwood, the report said.
Walker was ordered out of the vehicle twice, but she would not comply. At that point, a deputy reached inside the vehicle to unlock the door and tell her to get out once more. She still did not listen and was subsequently pulled out by her wrist, the report said.
The Tennessee native was arrested on charges of drug equipment (possess or use) and resist (obstruct without violence). She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $2,000 bond.
