Rudolph J. Dupuis, of The Villages, Florida, formerly of Somersworth, N.H., passed on March 23, 2026 at age 94.
Born September 8th, 1931, he was raised Catholic, the 6th of 11 children of Frank and Georgianna Dupuis. “Dolph”, as he was known by family and friends, grew up in Somersworth, NH. He enlisted into Army’s 82nd Airborne Division in 1950, serving 3 years. After serving his term he was a bachelor for a year before marrying the love of his life, Doris, in 1954. Following that, he worked at General Electric, (1954), as a multi-craftsman and private chauffer for Plant Executives. He took early retirement after 35 years in 1988 and relocated to Zepher Hills golfing community. Two years later, in 1990, they found a home on the course at Spruce Creek South.
Rudy traveled extensively with his wife during retirement visiting such places as Hawaii, South America, Alaska, Europe, Canada, multiple cruises, and his favorite of all was Biloxi….specifically the Imperial Palace! Little known fact was that he hit the NH state lottery 1975.
While living in Spruce Creek, Rudy was the local handyman for all widows, an avid card player, 3 handicap, jack of all trades….never met a stranger. He also served as informal ambassador for Highpoint at Stonecrest during the last three years of his life.
Surviving Rudy are his son Mike, (Rogers, AR.) his son Dane, and his younger son Rick, (Del City, OK), his wife Dana, and their sons Jarrid and Justin, and 4 great grand-daughters, his brother Ronnie and his wife Mary, and many relatives in NH and Canada.
He was predeceased by his wife, Doris Marie 12/13/2022, and his son Mark, 9/26/66, his brothers and sisters Rita Doyon, Roland Dupuis, Anita Eschman, Loraine Norman, Robert Dupuis, Raymond Dupuis, Rachel Dupuis, Richmond Dupuis, and Renaud Dupuis
