Susan Kay Jaeger of The Villages, Florida passed away on March 25, 2026 at the age of 63. She was born on June 7, 1962 in Janesville, Wisconsin to Judith and the late Herbert Jaeger.

Susan graduated from Whitewater High School in 1980 in Whitewater, Wisconsin and then went on to get her BS in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Her career in education led her to the Baptist College in Springfield, Missouri where she taught as an English professor for four years. The passion she had for writing then took her to Houston, Texas where she began her career as a Technical Writer for Chevron and furthered her education receiving a Master of Arts degree in Literature from Texas State University, graduating in 1996. Susan spent the last fifteen years of her career as a Senior Technical Writer and Supervisor for Scientific Drilling International before moving to The Villages.

Susan has always been an avid reader and active in her church, participating in the choir and Women’s Club, in addition to finding and growing her church family.

She is survived by her mother, Judith Jaeger also of The Villages, her older brother and wife, David and Lori Jaeger, her younger brother, Michael Jaeger, niece Nichole Janke and children Landon, Grayson, Paxton, Piper, nephew Derek Jaeger and wife Brianna, children Emlyn, Jaedyn, Laikyn, niece Vanessa Sullivan and husband Sean, daughter Finley, nephew Zachary Jaeger and wife Catherine, son Tate, niece Rebekka Hanson and husband Nicholas, daughters Maelyn, Brooklyn, and Scotlyn.

Funeral services will be held at Fairway Christian Church on Saturday April 4, at 10 a.m. with reception to follow.
