Michael J. Kuchera Jr., devoted and faithful husband and father, was 91 at the time of his passing. He died at Cornerstone Hospice in Lady Lake, FL on Monday, March 23, 2026.

He was born September 26,1934 in Portage, Pennsylvania, son of Cicelia and Michael J. Kuchera. His grade school was in a one room school house. He played sports and attended church, graduating in 1954 from Portage High school.

He attended different colleges and took many courses leading to his electrical engineering career. He worked as an electrical engineer and invented a tach-dwell meter and timing light which Snap-On Tool patented and put into production. He was an entrepreneur who established and owned several businesses in the Cambria County area namely Portage Electronics and Kuchera Industries, Inc. He was an author, inventor, and visionary whose persistence allowed him to do whatever he put his mind to. Michael was a good, honest, upright man, good husband and father. He was a golfer, long distance runner and bicycle rider.

Michael married his high school sweetheart, Rosemarie Erzal, in 1958. They were married for 68 years. They had four children, two boys and two girls. The surviving children are Micheal J. Kuchera, III, who lives in Lady Lake, FL and Mary J. Kuchera, who lives in Maryland.
