A Wildwood teen died at the scene of a crash Monday night on U.S. 301.
The 18-year-old was driving a Chevy Silverado at 8:50 p.m. northbound on U.S. 301, north of County Road 656 in Sumter County, when he crossed the centerline and collided nearly head on with a southbound Ford F-450, driven by a 28-year-old Webster man, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The Wildwood teen was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries suffered in the crash.
The Webster man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
