Democrats are planning to send a strong message to President Trump upon his arrival Friday in The Villages.

Participants are expected to gather at the four corners of the Marsh Trail Bend and Central Parkway roundabout from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, May 1. This location is about three-quarters of a mile away from where President Trump will be speaking at The Villages High School in Middleton.

The cosponsoring organizations, including the Florida Democratic Party, the Democratic Club of The Villages, Central Florida Tri-County Indivisible and Villagers4Democracy, expect hundreds of golf carts to show up and park along three of the corners of te intersection. At the fourth corner near the fire station, people will stand and sit.

Carts will be decorated with signs, flags and other patriotic paraphernalia. People will hold signs and blue patriotic umbrellas, all in the name of a peaceful anti-Trump rally.
