A Wildwood residential building and a barn would be converted to a commercial pet training facility if a site plan receives final approval.
Special Magistrate Lindsay C.T. Holt recommended approval of a site plan for Total Pet Care at a meeting Tuesday of the Wildwood Planning and Zoning Board. The City Commission may grant final approval of the plan later this month.
Total Pet Care would be located on County Road 117 about a quarter mile south of County Road 472.

A 3,000-square-foot residential building and a 1,500-square-foot barn would be used for the business.
The project was granted a technical waiver by the Project Review Committee for landscape buffer requirements on three sides and replacing the buffers with a white vinyl fence.
Founded in 2021, the business will have two employees and eight parking spaces, one handicapped, on the site, according to the plan.
