
Melvin Traub, age 98, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and quiet strength.
He was the devoted husband of Shirley for 75 years, sharing a lifetime of commitment and partnership. Together they built a close-knit family that remained the center of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley and their daughter, Vickie.
He is survived by his daughter, Cherie (Dennis); grandchildren Brian, Shannon, and Kevin; seven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him great pride and joy.
A proud World War II veteran, Melvin served in the Merchant Marines. He later worked as a butcher, known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family.
He spent most of his life in St. Louis before fulfilling his dream of retiring to The Villages, where he happily spent the past 20 years golfing, fishing, and playing cards with friends and loved ones.
Melvin will be remembered as a devoted family man whose life was defined by loyalty, love, and the simple joys he shared with those around him.
