An Oxford man was arrested after ramming into the front of his wife’s car in a roundabout when she left with her two children.
An officer responded to a crash and a possible domestic violence incident at the Parkwood campus near The Villages Charter School, Buffalo Ridge campus, around 8:25 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. Upon arrival, he found the wife and two kids of 39-year-old Marcus Minh Tot standing outside a severely damaged vehicle.

His wife advised that she and the children were trying to leave their residence when Tot showed up and parked directly in front of her vehicle, blocking the exit. His refusal to move and let them leave sparked a verbal argument. She then tried to maneuver her vehicle around his and may have hit his vehicle in the process, the report said.
She still left, only for Tot to follow. She began to drive through a roundabout outside the residential neighborhood when Tot intentionally drove the wrong direction to ram the front of her vehicle. She was able to flee, but he continued to follow her, the report said.
Once outside the neighborhood, Tot intentionally struck the trunk of her vehicle. His wife feared for her life and the lives of her children during this incident, the report said.
The officer next spoke with Tot, who stated it was actually his wife who struck his vehicle and left the residence. He tried to “wave her down” to get her to stop. He believed she had committed a hit-and-run crash, and they needed to exchange information for insurance purposes, the report said.
Tot repeated this story multiple times and refused to give any more details. He also did not know how his vehicle sustained disabling damage, the report said.
He was arrested on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, two counts of child abuse without great bodily harm and false imprisonment of a child under 13 years of age. He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center without bond.
Tot was also arrested in April 2025 after an alleged jealous attack on his then-fiancée.
