A raucous fun-loving crowd packed a bar in The Villages on Friday as conservative commentator Eric Bolling kicked off a national road trip.
Villagers showed up in huge numbers for the sendoff for Bolling, who fueled up in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown as he prepares to launch a summer road trip, during which intends to take the country’s political pulse.
Though national polls may show President Trump’s approval ratings on a steep decline, the evidence was to the contrary as the MAGA-dominated crowd at City Fire’s Brownwood location cheered loudly for the president and demonstrated their fierce loyalty to him.
Bolling, whose show is aired on Real America’s Voice, looked out at the audience at City Fire and described them as “real conservatives,” who are “patriotic and still love our country.”
He said it’s no surprise that the City Fire crowd, like many fellow Americans across the country, still fervently believe in President Trump.
“There is a reason Trump won the popular vote. We gave him a mandate to do what he always talked about doing. He couldn’t do that in the first term. He was too new to D.C. It was overwhelming to him,” Bolling said in an pre-show interview with Villages-News.com.
Bolling said those voters – and Villagers – have unshakeable faith that Trump will deliver on his promises.
Bolling welcomed to the stage Tommy and Valerie Jaimeson, founders of The Villages MAGA Club.
Tommy explained that after the 2020 election, they were down in the dumps. But rather than sulk, they went to work. The couple formed the MAGA club, luring in big names like Lara Trump and Kellyanne Conway.
The Jaimesons’ hard work paid off.
“We are MAGA country!” Tommy declared from the stage, eliciting huge applause.
Bolling was joined at the event by Congressman Randy Fine, who represents portions of The Villages in Lake and Marion counties. Fine fired up the crowd with blistering attacks on illegal immigrants and New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
Fine once again took sharp aim at illegal aliens and blamed them for economic challenges in Florida, including the high cost of car insurance.
“Just look at your bill,” Fine told the crowd.
He said that illegal aliens are to blamed for the skyrocketing costs of coverage for uninsured and underinsured motorists.
He also claimed Mamdani is trying to spread socialism and Sharia Law.
