To the Editor:

As seasonal residents, we love wintering in The Villages each year. For all its warmth and zaniness, there’s simply no place like The Villages.

We have been heading south for more than a decade and have watched (and winced) as The Villages has changed dramatically.

We have become creatures of habit and tend to return to the things we like. Same pool, same square, same restaurants, same Publix. To tell you the truth, we didn’t even venture down to Eastport this past season. Too much hubbub for us.

And The Villages keeps on building and building. When is enough, enough?

Many are complaining that The Villages has lost that “small hometown” appeal. I say you can still find it, if you choose to live within your “bubble” within the greater “bubble” that is The Villages. At least for now.
