It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our oldest son, William “Will” Barker, Jr.
He was born in Baton Rouge, LA on September 9,1969 and passed away early morning Monday, June 8, 2026. Age 56.
He worked for Johnstone Supply, New Orleans, LA as a Sales Representative.
He is survived by his parents, Bill and Ruby Barker [The Villages] his younger brother, Chris Barker [San Antonio, TX] and his daughter, Alexis Barker [Picayune, MS].
He wished for cremation and we have scheduled a casual get together at: Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, FL 352775 7427 on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
He loved the outdoors especially water and beach activities. He also liked to cook up special meals on special occasions. Some of our neighbors have enjoyed his boat rides and cooking.
We would like to send Thanks to our friends and neighbors for their support this past week and request that any future thoughts of giving in his Memory be donations to a charity of your choice.
