A homeless woman was arrested after pestering customers for money at Wawa.
Marcia Taylor, 57, had been asking for money and sleeping on a bench at about 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Wawa at U.S. Hwy. 27/441 and County Road 466, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. Management had asked the Mississippi native to leave the premises, but she refused to do so.
Officers arrived at the scene and also asked Taylor to leave, but she continued to refuse.
Taylor was taken into custody on a charge of trespassing. She was booked at the Lake County Jail and later released on her own recognizance.
