To the Editor:
This morning I had the opportunity to play the recently reopened Bonita Pass Executive Golf Course. The tee boxes and greens were a pleasure to play from. As a player who always walks the course, I was very happy to see they’ve added walking/courtesy paths (a narrow strip of shorter turf from the tee to the greens/fairway). It was nice to not have my shoes caked with grass clippings after my round.
To whoever decided to add these paths, I commend their decision. I hope this is a trend for future golf projects in the hopes that it will encourage others to walk. Not only will your health improve, but you may find that your golf scores will, too.
