
Deacon Daniel James Pallo, 80, of The Villages, FL, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on June 15, 2026. Born in Independence, MO, to John and Catherine (Boselovich) Pallo, Dan lived a life defined by service, faith, and family.
A Life of Service and Faith
From 1965 to 1968, Dan proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he dedicated many years to oil and gas pipeline maintenance, working with Amoco and Citgo before retiring as a supervisor with West Shore Pipeline.On August 25, 2007, Dan answered a higher calling and was ordained as a Deacon at the Cathedral of St. Raymond in Joliet, IL. After relocating to Florida in 2008, he continued to touch countless lives through his ministry at St. Vincent de Paul in Wildwood and St. Theresa in Belleview.
Family and Passions
Dan was married to the love of his life, Eleanor, on October 31, 1992. The couple shared 27 wonderful years and more than 20 cruise adventures together before her passing in October 2020. A man with a true servant’s heart, Dan was an exceptionally talented woodworker and served as the head of the toy department at The Villages Woodshop. Every Christmas, he poured his love into crafting wooden toys for children. Above all, Dan was a gentle, humble, and selfless father who always put his family first.
Survivors and Legacy
Dan’s legacy of love lives on through his large and cherished family:
Daughters: Deanna Bettig (Scott), Karry Pallo, and Amy Hanrahan (Chad). Stepchildren: Rita Montilla (Frank), Thomas Dennis (Birgit), John Dennis, Randy Dennis (Mary), Kimberly Dennis (David), and Kurt Dennis (Dillon). Sisters: Nancy Hennis and Kathy Pallo. Grandchildren: 12 precious grandchildren and 14 beautiful great-grandchildren.
He was reunited in heaven with his wife, Eleanor Pallo; his parents; and his siblings, Thomas Pallo, John James Pallo, and Teresa Joan Pallo.
