To the Editor:

Ed McGinty is having trouble relinquishing the fact that Trump is fighting for America. Let’s be mindful and recall that Ed has been following Trump for many years. His unrelenting infatuation and antics toward Trump are begrudging, not to mention troublesome for the community.

There is more to the story of why Ed is resentful toward our president. Is it because Ed lacks critical thinking, or is it his desire to be as successful as Trump and judging Trump on his own dark secrets or failures in life? One has to question the reality that Ed lives in. He is a nuisance within the community; his fight has no backbone, nor does it carry any weight.

Ed was in conflict with a lady at the pool and will personally attack anyone who doesn’t agree with him, but he is fast to judge another for doing the same. I ask myself why Ed wasn’t out there protesting against previous administrations for what they caused. Or is Ed only one-sided?

How does Ed feel about Biden commuting the sentence of Michael Conahan, the “Kids for Cash” judge? How does Ed think the families feel about that? What about men in women’s sports, and all the young women who worked hard to have an award stripped to be given to a biological male? The list goes on, but there is no peep or protest from Ed on those topics.

And let’s be clear on one thing: As a same-sex couple, Trump is not against us, and he never was taking away our rights. I am not a victim of the Republican Party. The treatment I received while in The Villages was nothing but open arms for my husband and myself. The left is trying to use people like me as pawns. I will be the first to say I am against Pride Month and the indoctrination of the youth with the teachings that were going on and that the left is still trying to push.

So when will Ed stop deflecting and point the finger at himself and his own party?
