A suspected Best Buy shoplifter has been tied to a previous theft at a neighboring store.
Kelly Crane, 40, of Tavares, was arrested Monday afternoon after she was spotted stuffing merchandise into her purse, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The stolen items included a BlueTooth speaker and trading card packs. She was detained as she tried to leave the store without paying for the items, valued at $135.87.

She has also been tied to thefts at the nearby Sportsman’s Warehouse. She allegedly stole $722 worth of merchandise on June 5, including knives, a rain poncho, rod and reel combs and footwear. Crane was back at Sportsman’s Warehouse on June 12 and stole $397 in theft.
She was taken into custody and booked at the Lake County Jail on $15,000 bond.
