With profound sadness and hearts that will forever carry his memory, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Hayden Gage Kirby, who passed away on June 1, 2026, at the age of 18 while proudly serving on active duty in the United States Navy.
Hayden was a treasured son, family member, and friend whose adventurous spirit, compassionate heart, and unforgettable smile touched countless lives. He had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in the simple beauty of God’s creation. Whether he was near the water, exploring a new trail, watching the sunset, or spending time with those he loved, Hayden embraced every moment with enthusiasm, gratitude, and a sense of wonder.
At only 18 years old, Hayden answered a call to serve something greater than himself by joining the United States Navy. He was a proud Seabee, who will always be remembered as “Buz” to his friends at home and “Kirby” or “Baby fish” to his Seabee brothers. Hayden wore his uniform with pride and honor, embodying the values of courage, dedication, loyalty, and selfless service.
Though his time with us was far too brief, the love Hayden gave and the memories he created will remain forever etched in our hearts. His laughter will echo in family stories, his kindness will live on in those he touched, and his spirit will be felt in every place he loved.
Hayden is survived by his mother, Shawn DesVoignes (Jay Baldwin) of Houston, Texas, father, Kain Kirby (stepmother, Arlene Kirby) of Palm Harbor, Florida, brother, Alexander Rivera of New Port Richey, Florida, sister, Caylea Baldwin of Orlando, Florida, maternal grandmother, Linda LaBombard of Wilburton, Oklahoma, Uncles: Jimmy DesVoignes of Tampa, Florida, Matthew Mason of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kip Gulbrandsen (Janet) of Miami Springs, Florida, and Kirby Gulbrandsen of Panama City, Florida; cousins: Brianna, Keila, and Bryson, and great cousins: Lynn and Jimmy. Hayden was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandmother, Barbara Gulbrandsen, Maternal Grandfather, Robert Steven DesVoignes, aunts: Krista Kirby and Susan DesVoignes, and his uncle, Richard DesVoignes.
Hayden was deeply loved beyond measure and will be missed every day. While our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort in knowing that love never ends, and his memory will remain a guiding light for all who knew him.
