A Villager remains incommunicado as the lawn at his patio villa has grown completely out of control.
The home of Alan R. David at 1651 Duran Drive in Villa De Leon in the Village of Alhambra was the subject of a public hearing Friday before the Community Development District 2 Board of Supervisors at Savannah Center.

David, 79, purchased the patio villa in 2012 for $126,900, according to public records.
A complaint was lodged May 1 with Community Standards regarding tall weeds at the home. Notices of Friday’s public hearing were sent to David via regular and certified mail, but he was a no-show at the hearing.
Community Standards has been unable to establish contact with the Worcester, Massachusetts, native. In addition to the mailed notices, multiple voicemails have been left for him. The property remained out of compliance during a check earlier this week.
The board gave David seven days to remedy the problem with the weeds. If he fails to do so, the District will maintain the property at a cost to the homeowner of $250 per occurrence.
