Deborah Ann Cohen, a resident of Lady Lake, Florida, passed away on July 7, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on November 8, 1954, in Birmingham, Alabama, Deborah lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family and beloved pets.
Deborah will be remembered for her joyful spirit, her love of dancing, and her unmistakable appreciation for a good Diet Coke.
She had a wonderful way of brightening any room, often with a smile, a laugh, or one of her perfectly timed remarks. Among her many memorable sayings, “bless his heart” became a favorite phrase that could express sympathy, humor, or just the right amount of Southern charm. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter, and family was always at the center of her world.
She is lovingly survived by her devoted partner, John Francia; her son, David Joseph Davis, and his wife, Krista Davis; her grandsons, Ryan Davis and Kyle Davis, and Kyle’s wife, Shelby; and her precious great-granddaughter, Keira. Her love, guidance, and unwavering support will continue to live on in each of them.
Deborah also had a lifelong love for animals. Her pets brought her endless companionship and happiness, and she cared deeply about the well-being of all animals.
Those who knew Deborah will remember her generous heart, warm smile, quick wit, and the love she shared so freely with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the ASPCA in Deborah’s memory, honoring her lifelong compassion and love for animals.
