To the Editor:
I would like to respond to Ed McGinty’s letter, “He Warned Us About Trump.” Ironically, Mr. McGinty appears to embody many of the very qualities he accuses President Trump of possessing.
In his final paragraph, he stated that he would take away the constitutional rights of those who voted for Trump in 2024 for a period of 10 years. Yet, in the same letter, he criticizes President Trump by claiming he would trample on people’s rights to get what he wants.
By advocating the suspension of constitutional rights for those with whom he disagrees politically, Mr. McGinty contradicts his own argument. His closing remarks reveal the very intolerance and disregard for constitutional principles that he attributes to others.
