To the Editor:

Maybe we shouldn’t be too hard on Phil Mickelson regarding his opinion about the PGA and Commissioner Jay Monahan’s dictatorship. When the PGA decided to punish Donald Trump while he was president, by moving tournaments from his properties, they didn’t seem to give a hoot about the players or fans. (If I remember correctly, they moved one tournament to Mexico.)
How many of their American fans would have appreciated being able to see the players live in Florida or New Jersey?
I’m pretty certain the PGA offended about 50 million Republicans and Lord knows how many players, but they didn’t appear to care.
So, Phil, you might need to tamp down your rhetoric, but what you said “ain’t all bad,” and Mr. Monahan, let’s play a couple of tournaments at Trump properties. This could relabel you a benevolent dictator.
