A 174,109-square-foot, four-story assisted living center is planned for Trailwinds Village on the north side of County Road 466A across from Pinellas Plaza.

Legacy Lifestyles of Palm Harbor is developing the 176-unit Trailwinds Senior Living, originally planned to have 120 beds.

Trailwinds Senior Living will be located in the development on County Road 466A across from Pinellas Plaza.

Wildwood Special Magistrate Grant Watson recommended approval of a site plan for the center at a meeting Tuesday of the Wildwood Planning and Zoning Board. The plan was developed by Tillman & Associates Engineering of Ocala.

The center on 10 acres will be at the eastern end of Trailwinds Village, next to the Sandhill Executive Golf Course on property once slated for a hotel.

With several wings and 74 parking spaces, the 75-foot-tall center also will have a courtyard near the center of the building and is expected to have 30 employees.

Trailwinds Senior Living will be located at far right, at Trailwinds Village, next to the Sandhill Golf Course.

Watson also recommended approval the site plan for Yourlife of Wildwood, another 60,217-square-foot assisted living center planned on seven acres along Powell Road at Broken Oak Drive. The single-story building will be constructed around a center courtyard.

The special magistrate also recommended approval of a final plat for the Beaumont property next to Trailwinds at the corner of county roads 466A and 462. The plat divides the 154-acre property into two parcels. No improvements are planned at this time.
