Sumter County firefighters extinguish car fire on U.S. 301 in Wildwood

Sumter County firefighters extinguished a car fire at about noon Tuesday on U.S. 301 in Wildwood.

A pickup had been towing a maroon SUV when it broke out in flames.

Emergency personnel responded to a car fire Tuesday afternoon on U.S. 301 in Wildwood.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, the vehicle was about 25 percent consumed by the blaze.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and there were no injuries.

Wildwood police also responded to the scene.

Golf course deserves a failing grade
