Villages firefighters tackle burning SUV under mobile home carport in Wildwood

The initial call was for a structure fire at a residence in the Rail’s End Mobile Home Park, located at 7246 E State Road 44. But when firefighters arrived, they discovered a small SUV parked under a mobile home carport with flames and smoke coming from the engine compartment, a report says.

Crews from Engine 47, Engine 44, Ladder 45, Squad 51, Attack 45 and a battalion chief responded to the blaze. They were able to quickly extinguish the flames and prevent any further damage, the report says, adding that no injuries were reported.
