Fruitland Park man accused of taking batteries from Wal-Mart

A 63-year-old Fruitland Park with several prior shoplifting arrests, was arrested Tuesday at Wal-Mart by Fruitland Park police.

Galen Louis Pearlman put eight packs of  batteries in his pockets and attempted to leave the store, according to the arrest report.

He was booked at the Lake County Jail where bond was set at $2,000. He is due for arraignment in Lake County Court on Dec. 29.
