A 34-year-old Fruitland Park man was arrested after he allegedly tried to walk out of Wal-Mart Monday afternoon with a new pair of stolen shoes on his feet.
Roger Dale Sands of 4624 Pine Street went to the shoe department and put new shoes on his feet, his old shoes in the box and put the box back on the shelf, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department. Sands then attempted to leave the store, the report indicated.
He was booked at the Lake County Jail. He later posted $500 bond and was released.
He is due for arraignment on Dec. 23 in Lake County Court.
