A new Texas Roadhouse restaurant on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 near Sam’s Club is on track to open in March.
The restaurant will employ 20 full- and part-time employees. The hours of operation will be 3 to 11 p.m. seven days a week. The restaurant will only provide dinner.
The restaurant is being developed by Benchmark Development Corp., which is also currently shepherding the new Stein Mart and ULTA Beauty projects across the street.
A site plan for the 7,163-square-foot, 281-seat restaurant received preliminary approval in December from the Lady Lake Commission.
The number of restaurants in Lady Lake continues to steadily climb.
Today, Lady Lake has more than 50 restaurants. Ten years ago, Lady Lake had 37 restaurants.
The first Texas Roadhouse restaurant opened in 1993 in Clarksville, Ind.
Today, there are more than 440 Texas Roadhouse restaurants in 49 states and four foreign countries.
