The Soaring Eagle Softball Complex is slated to open at 10 a.m. Jan. 16.
The complex is located off State Road 44 in the southernmost tip of The Villages.
The opening of Soaring Eagle will bring the number of softball fields in The Villages to 11, according to Recreation Department Director John Rohan.
An air gun range will be located adjacent to Soaring Eagle Softball Complex and will also open Jan. 16.
