Woman arrested after allegedly attempting to steal cell phone at Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge

A 20-year-old woman was arrested Thursday night after she allegedly attempted to steal a cell phone from Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge shopping plaza.

Yaleidy Valencia Trujillo of Davenport entered the store at about 7:30 p.m. and took a Boost Mobile Cell Phone and attempted to leave the store without paying for it, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

She was booked on $500 bond at the Sumter County Detention Center on a charge of shoplifting.
