Seniors vs. Crime cut the ribbon Wednesday morning in the official grand-opening ceremony for its newest office in Brownwood Paddock Square.
State Executive Director for Seniors vs. Crime Don Ravenna was on hand for the ceremony.
“We know that with the population increasing rapidly in this area, so will the crime,” Ravenna said. “These people in this office will be solving a lot of problems.”
Seniors vs. Crime is an extension of the Florida Attorney General’s Office.
In Brownwood, Seniors vs. Crime is sharing office space next to the Barnstorm Theater with the Wildwood Police Department.
Wildwood Mayor Ed Wolf and Wildwood Police Chief E.W. Reeser were at the Seniors vs. Crime ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“This new office is a good thing for Wildwood and The Villages,” said Wolf. “The more closely we can all work together, the better.”
Seniors vs. Crime will continue to operate its offices at the Sumter County Sheriff’s Annex and in Marion County at 8230 Southeast 165th Mulberry Lane.
