Marine Corps League holds annual Toys for Tots collection at Polo Club

The Marines of  the Col. Phillip C. Delong Detachment Marine Corps League were out collecting toys Sunday in their annual Toys for Tots drive at the Village Polo Club.

Despite a brisk wind, the Marines greeted entrants to the Polo Club with a warm smile.

Many of those arriving brought a new, unwrapped toy. And many of those arriving who were unaware of the collection were happy to contribute cash.

“It’s always good to see everyone be so generous,” said Sheldon Wedemeyer of the Marine Corps League.
