The Lady Lake Special Tree and Beautification Advisory Committee considered and unanimously approved three separate conceptual landscaping plans and waiver requests on Tuesday night. On the agenda were properties located at 121 Hermosa Street, owned by Yellow Cab of Central Florida, (doing business as Village Airport Van), 452 N. Hwy 27/441, the site of a future McDonald’s, and 175 S Rolling Acres Rd, currently the home of Tree Tops Golf.
Committee members posed questions about the proposed two-lane drive-thru at the new McDonald’s located in Lady Lake Crossing Plaza. Braulio Grajales, a representative of High Point Engineering (the firm in charge of the landscape plan and design surrounding the building) indicated that the two-lane drive-thru system had been implemented at McDonald’s facilities across the country for approximately 5 years. He had no knowledge of major incidents/accidents to report during that period. Lady Lake Growth Management director Thad Carroll confirmed that this two-lane drive-thru has been in place at the McDonald’s located in Colony Plaza for quite some time without incident.
