TWO TITLES STILL IN PLAY WITH ONE GAME LEFT
BONITA BLUE CLINCHES PACIFIC TITLE
WITH 3-2 WIN OVER VIRGINIA TRACE
Bonita Blue (9-2) got a three for three day from Doug Pihl and edged Virginia Trace (6-5) 3-2. Ron Wright added two hits in the low scoring game. The win gave the Bonnies the Pacific title.

SUMMERHILL SHUTS OUT CALUMET 12-0;
STAYS ALIVE IN DIVISION TITLE RACE
Summerhill (7-3) kept its Championship hopes alive with a 12-0 mercy win over Calumet Grove (4-7). Winning pitcher John Blodgett recorded a two hit shutout as the Summerhill Seniors played errorless ball. Dave Bronte and Roger Mott homered while Arnie Bott belted a triple and had the walk off winning hit. Summerhill needs a win against Caroline, and a Hemingway lose to Calumet next week to claim the Central Division title. Summerhill beat Hemingway in both their meetings this season and would win in the title if it goes to head-to-head tiebreaker.

HEMINGWAY TOPS LA REYNALDO 6-4;
MAGIC NUMBER 1 FOR CENTRAL CROWN
Hemingway (8-2) remained on top of the standings and a win away from the title with a 6-4 victory over La Reynaldo (2-9). Jim Fetala lead the Hemmings with three hits including a homer. Al DuBuc added two hits and two ribbies for winning hurler Mike Arnau. If Hemingway beats Calumet Grove next week, they will claim the Central Division Crown.
TAMARIND GROVE EASTERN DIVISION CHAMPS;
WIN TENTH GAME OF SEASON IN 9-0 SHUTOUT
Tamarind Grove’s 10-1 record is the best in the league and clinched the Eastern Division Championship. The Tams shutout Liberty Park 9-0 behind the three hit performances of Tom Strychalski and Jesse Cryer. Ed Rankin recorded three rbi’s for winning pitcher Jesse Cryer.
SAINT CHARLES CLIPS LARGO 3-2;
ATLANTIC TITLE STILL IN PLAY
Saint Charles (7-3) have won their last three games and need a win against Glenbrook Blue (4-7) or a Largo (6-4) lose next week to claim the Atlantic Division title. Steve Mols, Tony Alger, Frank Shugart, and winning pitcher Ed Krisha had two hits each for the Saints.
Saint Charles needs to beat Glenbrook Blue next week or a Largo lose to Glenbrook Silver to claim the division title.
