TOURNAMENT QUARTER-FINAL RESULTS
#9 MAGIC SHOCK #1 CAVALIERS 21-4;
DIPPEL/ SCHWARZWALDER DO DAMAGE
The ninth seeded Magic got four hits from Stan Dippel and sub Bill Schwarzwalder for winning pitcher Dennis Salisbury and thumped the number one seed Cavaliers 21-4. The top seeded Cavs just had one of those off days offensively and defensively, and the Magic took full advantage. The Magic will face the #5 Lakers on Thursday, 9am, in one of the two semi-finals.
Jerry Wood whacked three hits for the Cavs.

#2 PACERS ADVANCE TO SEMIS;
KEVIN MUKRI LEADS OFFENSE
The second seed Pacers became the top seed to move into the semi-finals with a 12-9 victory over the tenth seeded Suns. Kevin Mukri hammered three hits and Bob DelVecchio postes four ribeye steaks for winning pitcher Tom Lee.
The Pacers will take on the sixth seed Timberwolves at 10:30, Thursday.
Jim McLaughlin and Fred Decker dealt three hits apiece for the Suns.

#6 TIMBERWOLVES PLUG #3 PISTONS 10-9;
DAVE MILLER FOUR RIBBIES FOR WOLVES
The sixth seeded Timberwolves held on to upset the number three seed Pistons 10-9. Dave Miller tallied three hits with four rbi’s for winning pitcher Ray Buonfiglio.
Dave Williams had a super day at the plate for the Pistons recording a very rare natural cycle.

#5 LAKERS GROUND #13 ROCKETS 15-8;
STASTYSHYN & LaCHAPELLE HOT HITTERS
The fifth seed Lakers moved to the next round with a solid 15-8 win against the Cinderella thirteen seed Rockets. John Stastyshyn and John LaChapelle led the Lakers with four hits each while Bob Jarrow tossed the win. Larry Locke landed two three baggers also for the winners.
Frank Archer and Rich Kerzner clipped three hits apiece for the Pistons.
