The Yankees needed eight innings to move into the Championship Game. Bob LaFlamme burned five hits, and Mike Christy had four hits for winning pitcher Jack Norman.
Bob Campbell canned four hits for the O’s.

The Rangers took an early 10-4 lead and eliminated the Astros behind the pitching of Keith Loring. Richard Critchlow, Ray Devries, and John Dunworth delivered doubles for the Rangers.
