Wanda Narajowski
Wanda Narajowski

Wanda B. Narajowski was born in Chicago, IL on 8/8/1918 and moved to The Villages, FL in 2001.  She worked for the Chicago Board of Education in Accounts Payable for 27 years.  Wanda dedicated her life to the loving care of her soul mate, Henry S. Narajowski, while raising four children.

After the passing of Wanda’s husband Henry, she began her life of travel and service.  When Wanda lived in Chicago, she held office of President for the Irving Park Catholic Women’s Club and President of the St. Pascal Altar and Rosary Society.  At St. Pascal, Wanda was a Minister of Care and a Eucharistic Minister.  During this time, Wanda also volunteered with the Soup Kitchen at St. Stanislaw Kostka Catholic Church.  In keeping with Wanda’s Polish Ancestry, she was a member of the Polish Arts Council and the Treasurer of the St. Irene’s Group 31 of the Polish Women’s Alliance of America.  Wanda gave her grandchildren words for life after taking the Gabriel Richard Course, “Faith, Courage and Enthusiasm”.

Moving to The Villages, Wanda joined St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church.  Wanda became a Minister of Care and a Eucharistic Minister.  She joined the St. Timothy’s Singles Club.  Wanda also became a member of Four Score.  Wanda enjoyed playing Shuffleboard, belonging to the Pinochle Card Club, going to the Polo Games, and the many concerts and plays in The Villages.

In the late 1970’s, Wanda began her first of many trips in the US and the World.  We all lived vicariously as she traveled as far north as Point Barrel, Alaska, as far south as Patagonia in South America, as far east as China, and as far west as Australia.  Wanda enjoyed Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England.  When traveling Europe, each described country was filled with color and adventure.  Upon reaching India, you could feel the excitement of the Raja that built the Taj Mahal as Wanda told it’s story.  This voyage continued with an ocean crossing to Africa.  Some of the most memorable stories took place on the trip to Egypt when she entered and climbed an inner passage of a pyramid in Cairo.

Wanda was preceded in death by brothers: Joseph and Casmir; sisters: Helen and Dorothy.

Wanda is survived by her children:  Harriet Narajowski Pergande, Chicago, IL; Joy Narajowski Kirchens and Bernard (Bud) Kirchens, The Villages, FL; Henry (Stella) Narajowski, Murray, UT; Walter (Debbie) Narajowski, CA; 12 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.
