The Rotary Club of The Villages helped put The Villages Regional Hospital Auxiliary Foundation one step closer to its goal on Thursday, when Richard Phoebus, president of the club, presented a check for $5,000 to Richard Campbell, who accepted on behalf of the foundation.

The foundation is reaching out to the community, seeking support for the $59 million hospital expansion which is expected to be complete in January 2015. Ground was broken Nov. 22 on the expansion, which will add 100 beds to the hospital.
