Jeff Atkin is Sumter County’s new assistant director for services. He was introduced to the Sumter County Commissioners on Tuesday evening.
He comes to Sumter County from Hernando County where he was an operations coordinator working for the assistant director of public works.
Prior to joining Hernando County he worked for Marion County for nine years in transportation and engineering.
He will oversee parks, mosquito control, animal services and veterans services.
